Cathedral City Wants Residents on Its Boards. Here's How to Apply.

Cathedral City is looking for residents who want a hand in shaping local decisions, with its annual Boards and Commissions Recruitment now underway. Applications opened April 1 and close May 6.

Nine committees currently have open seats: the Architectural Review Committee, Cannabis Task Force, Finance Advisory Committee, Historic Preservation Committee, Mobile Home Fair Practices Commission, Palm Springs International Airport Commission, Parks and Community Events Commission, Planning Commission, and Public Arts Commission.

These boards advise the city on everything from land use and historic buildings to public art and cannabis regulation, giving everyday residents a direct role in decisions that affect their neighborhoods. Appointments will be made in June.

Residents interested in applying can find open vacancies and submit an application at cathedralcity.gov/city-clerk/commissions-and-committees. Questions can be directed to the City Clerk's Office at cityclerk@cathedralcity.gov.
