Poll Shows Growing Skepticism Over Trump’s Iran Strategy Ahead of White House Address

A new national poll shows growing skepticism among Americans about President Donald Trump’s handling of the conflict with Iran, just ahead of a planned White House address.

According to the survey, only about one-third of Americans believe the president has a clear strategy for dealing with Iran. Support for U.S. military action has also declined, with just 34% now expressing approval, while 66% say they disapprove.

The poll also highlights strong opposition to expanding U.S. involvement. A majority of Americans say they oppose spending $200 billion on further military action, and a similar percentage are against sending ground troops into Iran.

While Democrats and independents overwhelmingly oppose the conflict, the data shows divisions within the Republican Party as well. Older Republicans are more likely to support military action, while younger Republicans show less enthusiasm.

The survey also reveals broader concerns about the cost and impact of the war. Only 29% of respondents believe the conflict has been worth the toll in lives and financial resources.

As Americans continue to follow developments overseas, economic concerns at home remain the top issue for many, though the Iran conflict is emerging as a significant national concern.
