Road Closures Snarl North Palm Springs Commute Due to Low Visibility

Two major roads in north Palm Springs are closed Thursday morning due to low visibility at the wash.

North Gene Autry Trail is shut down between Salvia Road and Via Escuela, a closure that has been in effect since Wednesday morning. North Indian Canyon Drive between Sunrise Parkway and Garnet has been opening and closing periodically since Wednesday as well.

Drivers looking to get through or around Palm Springs can still use East Vista Chino, Dinah Shore, Ramon Road, and Highway 111 as alternate routes.
