Tiger Woods Arrest Video Released After Rollover Crash and DUI Charge
Authorities have released body camera video showing golf legend Tiger Woods following a rollover crash that led to his arrest on DUI-related charges.
The footage shows Woods near his overturned SUV in Florida, speaking with deputies before undergoing a field sobriety test. Officers later arrested him, saying his ability to drive appeared impaired.
According to investigators, Woods crossed into oncoming traffic and struck another vehicle before his SUV flipped onto its side. He told deputies he had been looking at his phone just before the crash.
Authorities say no alcohol was detected in his system, but prescription medications were found in his possession. Woods reportedly told officers he had taken medication earlier in the day.
He faces misdemeanor charges, including driving under the influence and refusing to submit to certain tests. Woods has pleaded not guilty and is scheduled to appear in court on May 5.
The incident comes as Woods continues to deal with injuries and setbacks in his return to competitive golf.
