Cathedral City Seeks Public Input for Next Police Chief

Cathedral City officials are inviting residents to participate in shaping the future of their police leadership by taking a short online survey. The survey seeks input on the qualities and skills the community wants in the city’s next police chief.

Deputy Chief Rick Sanchez is currently serving as acting chief while the city conducts its search. Officials emphasized that they are looking for a candidate who demonstrates transparency, strong communication skills, and accountability.

The survey will remain open through April 20 and can be accessed via the city’s official website. City leaders say public participation is vital in ensuring that the next police chief reflects the values and priorities of the Cathedral City community.
