Jerry's SoCal Weather Briefing on Sunday, April 5, 2026!
The Coachella Valley will once again see plenty of sunshine this afternoon with low relative humidity and above-normal high temperatures in the middle-90s.
Because of a short-wave trough of low pressure moving through the Southwest on Monday, we'll see middle-and-upper level clouds while on-shore winds will become a bit gusty during the afternoon and evening hours. The Valley will remain dry at the surface and highs will back-off slightly.
Clouds clear on Tuesday when we return to the middle-90s.
I'm still examining long range forecast models, a few which have a Pacific upper-low moving across the Southwest during the end of this week. As of today, it looks as though there will be precipitation over Southern California on Friday and Saturday.
My take... A few light showers are possible on the West end of the Coachella Valley late-Friday into Saturday while the Southeast side remains rain-free.
There will be updates... stay tuned!
