An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Monday, April 6, 2026!

The Coachella Valley will be under bands of middle-and-high level clouds today with dry surface air and slightly above-normal high temperatures in the lower-90s.

Sunshine returns in full-force for your Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons as our midday temps warm into the middle-90s both days.

We are expecting a Pacific upper-level low to move its way across the Southwest this weekend pulling in clouds with the chance of rain.

As of today, precipitation will begin to move over the Inland Empire late on Friday while the best shot of seeing widely scattered Southern California rain will be on Saturday.

As far as the possibility of precipitation for the Coachella Valley, a few light showers are forecast for the West side on Saturday, while just a couple of sprinkles are expected for its Southeastern end.

Valley highs will slip from the middle-90s on Wednesday to the middle-70s by Saturday.
