Average Riverside County Gas Price Rises To Highest Amount Since Oct. 6, 2023

RIVERSIDE (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular
gasoline in Riverside County rose to its highest amount since Oct. 6, 2023,
today, increasing six-tenths of a cent to $5.874.
The average price has increased 46 of the past 47 days, rising $1.403,
including 1 cent on Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price
Information Service. It rose 42 consecutive days, dropped six-tenths of a cent
on Thursday and resumed increasing the next day.
The average price is 3.7 cents more than one week ago, 98.4 cents
higher than one month ago and $1.061 greater than one year ago. It is 49.9
cents less than the record $6.373 set on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price rose to its highest amount since Aug. 4,
2022, increasing nine-tenths of a cent to $4.119. It has risen nine consecutive
days, increasing 14.3 cents, including six-tenths of a cent on Sunday.
The national average price is 12.9 cents more than one week ago, 79.9
cents higher than one month ago and 86.1 cents greater than one year ago. It is
50.5 cents less than the record $6.373 set on Oct. 5, 2022.
Prices were rising slightly in line with seasonal norms before the
joint U.S./Israel attack on Iran on Feb. 28 sent oil prices higher and
drastically accelerated increases at the gas pump.
The national average price rose six-tenths of a cent to $4.11, its
highest amount since Aug. a5, 2022. It is 13 cents more than one week ago, 85.9
cents more than one month ago and 84.8 cents more than one year ago.
The national average price is 89.7 cents less than the record $5.016
set on June 14, 2022.
