An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Tuesday, April 7, 2026!

Today, and again tomorrow, the Coachella Valley will be under sunny skies with low relative humidity and above-normal high temperatures in the middle-to-upper 90s.

Aside from a few fair-weather high clouds, we'll see filtered sunshine on Thursday along with occasionally gusty on-shore winds and slightly above-normal numbers in the lower-90s.

As a Pacific low pressure center moves through the Southwest this weekend, we'll experience a few changes.

Aside from a reduction of midday temperatures, this disturbance will also trigger widely scattered showers and thunderstorms over the Southwest between late-Friday and early-Sunday.

As far as the Coachella Valley is concerned, hit-and-miss light showers are possible on Saturday with total accumulations in the hundredths-of-an-inch.
