NASA Releases Stunning New Photos From Artemis II's Record-Breaking Lunar Flyby

NASA has released a new set of photographs taken by the Artemis II crew during Monday's record-breaking lunar flyby, offering a striking look at Earth, the Moon, and the Sun from deep space.
Among the images is an "earthset," capturing the moment Earth drops below the Moon's horizon. Another shows a totality, with the Moon eclipsing the Sun entirely. A third offers a close-up of the rings of the Orientale Basin, one of the Moon's most dramatic geological features.
The crew has also proposed names for two craters within the basin. On social media, NASA announced the proposals: one named Integrity, after the crew's capsule, and one named Carroll, honoring the late wife of mission commander Reid Wiseman.
