Weather
An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Wednesday, April 8, 2026!
Once again, the Coachella Valley will see lots of sunshine this afternoon with breezy winds, dry air and above-normal high temperatures in the middle-to-upper 90s.
As a Pacific system approaches the Coast, on-shore winds will pick-up on Thursday afternoon while peak temperatures back-off slightly. You can expect lots of sunshine behind sheets of thin upper-altitude cirrus clouds with high temps in the lower-90s.
Two frontal boundaries will move through the Southwest this weekend dropping temperatures while triggering some precipitation. While the bulk of rain will fall over mountains and to our West, the Coachella Valley may see a few light showers on Saturday followed by a couple of sprinkles on Sunday.
Snow levels slip from 7800-feet Friday night to around 7000-feet Saturday afternoon. The Tram is forecast to see just a couple of inches of new snow by Sunday afternoon.
