Fido Friday: Meet Diesel, a 5-Year-Old Shelter Dog!

Diesel, a five-year-old dog at the Coachella Valley Animal Campus, has been at the shelter since January 22nd and is visibly scared by his surroundings.

Community contributor Jen Agnew featured Diesel in this week's FIDO Friday segment, showing how the overwhelmed dog gradually relaxed when given a quiet space with no pressure or expectations. Through patience and time, Diesel began to feel safe and showed his true nature as a good dog underneath the fear.

There's also time-sensitive news for anyone considering adoption: the shelter's Barkchella celebration is offering free pet adoptions now through April 19th at all county animal shelters. Every adoption includes spay or neuter services, vaccinations, a microchip, and an engraved ID tag.
