La Quinta invites public input on proposed dog park at Monticello Park

The City of La Quinta is inviting residents to share their thoughts on a proposed dog park planned for Monticello Park.

City officials will host a community meeting on April 30 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., giving neighbors an opportunity to learn more about the project and provide feedback. The proposed design includes separate fenced areas for small and large dogs, aiming to create a safe and enjoyable space for pets and their owners.

Officials say community input will play a key role in shaping the final plans. Residents who are unable to attend the meeting in person are encouraged to participate by completing an online survey.

Residents can provide feedback via a link on the City of La Quinta Facebook page.

Key details regarding the initiative:

  • Location: Monticello Park.

  • Features: Separate, fenced, off-leash areas for small and large dogs.

  • Action Needed: A survey is available, often accessible via QR codes in community notices or the official city Facebook page.

  • Existing Locations: For current needs, La Quinta offers dog parks at Fritz Burns Park (lighted), Pioneer Park (no lights), and Seasons Dog Park (lighted).
