Palm Springs Unveils Four New Public Art Installations for World Art Day

Palm Springs is marking World Art Day with a ribbon-cutting for four new public art installations, and the city wants the community to be part of it.
Mayor Naomi Soto, city councilmembers, Public Arts Commission Chair Gary Armstrong, and all four artists will gather Wednesday, April 15, on the front steps of City Hall on Tahquitz Canyon Way from 10 to 10:30 a.m. to officially dedicate the works.
All four artists are nationally recognized with their pieces now installed across neighborhood parks: Ben Sinor's "Shapes and Sizes" at Desert Highland Park, Jeff Zischke's "Rover" at Victoria Park, Lyle London's "Dancer #6" at Gateway Park, and Jack Howard-Potter's "Spegody" at Baristo Park.
After the ceremony, residents are encouraged to head out and see the installations for themselves.
