Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day Draws Crowds in Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage

Today is Free Cone Day at all Ben & Jerry’s locations, including stores in Rancho Mirage and Palm Springs, drawing steady crowds of ice cream fans across the Coachella Valley.

At the Rancho Mirage location inside The River at Rancho Mirage, visitors were treated to free scoops of popular flavors throughout the day, with community donations benefiting the Children’s Discovery Museum.

In Palm Springs, the Free Cone Day event is also supporting a local cause, with proceeds and donations going toward the city’s search and rescue program. Organizers say the annual tradition is a way to give back to the community while celebrating one of the brand’s most popular promotional events.

Our own meteorologist Jerry Steffen stopped by the Rancho Mirage location, joining in as customers lined up to enjoy free treats.

The event is still ongoing, and residents are encouraged to visit either location before it concludes later today.
