An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Wednesday, April 15, 2026!

The Coachella Valley will be under clear skies this afternoon with slightly above-normal high temperatures in the upper-80s/lower-90s.

As a trough of low pressure moves through the Southwest Thursday into Friday, we'll experience a few changes.

As this disturbance approaches Southern California, on-shore winds will begin to ramp-up Thursday afternoon and evening. Then, as this frontal boundary exits the area, Santa Ana winds will become gusty Friday morning, especially around Desert Hot Springs and the foothill communities along-and-near the Little San Bernardino Mountains.

The Valley will be under bands of middle-and-high level clouds on Thursday, followed by all-sunshine for Friday. The Valley will also experience extremely dry air when middle-of-the-day dew points fall to around 0° on Friday.

We'll see mostly sunny skies with high temps close to 90° for both afternoons on Saturday and Sunday.
