Sky Valley Crash Victim Identified by Coroner

Authorities have identified a man killed in a crash in Sky Valley.

The Riverside County Coroner's Office says 45-year-old Israel Hernandez died following a collision at the intersection of 22nd Avenue and Marshall Road near Desert Hot Springs.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened just before 4:40 p.m. when a Toyota Camry struck a John Deere Gator that was traveling along the shoulder.

The driver of the all-terrain vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Authorities have not released additional details at this time.
