Budweiser Clydesdales Return to El Paseo for Annual Pre-Stagecoach Parade

PALM DESERT, Calif. β€” The Stagecoach Music Festival is just around the corner, and the Coachella Valley is gearing up for one of its most beloved annual traditions. The world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales are set to make their grand return to El Paseo in Palm Desert this Wednesday, April 22, offering fans a close-up look at the iconic eight-horse hitch.

The parade is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m., with the massive horses strolling down the desert’s premier shopping district. Following the tradition of previous years, the horse-drawn wagon is expected to make several stops to deliver special cases of beer to selected restaurants along the route, much to the delight of local patrons.

Spectators can also look forward to seeing the team’s famous Dalmatian coach dog, who traditionally sits atop the wagon alongside the drivers. The Clydesdales and their spotted companion have become a staple of the Stagecoach kickoff week, typically drawing large crowds of residents and tourists to the sidewalks of El Paseo.

While the event is a highly anticipated highlight of the festival season, organizers remind the public that the appearance is weather-dependent. Because the safety and health of the horses are the top priority, the parade may be canceled if afternoon temperatures reach levels deemed too high for the animals to safely navigate the pavement.

Stagecoach officially begins next Friday, April 24, at the Empire Polo Club in Indio. Wednesday's parade serves as the perfect local community warm-up for a weekend filled with country music, boots, and heritage.
