Cake4Kids Celebrates Milestone, Calls for Volunteers in Coachella Valley

A simple birthday cake is making a big difference for children in need across the country and right here in the Coachella Valley.

Cake4Kids, a national nonprofit, is celebrating a major milestone after helping more than 100,000 children experience a birthday celebration they might not otherwise have.

The organization relies on volunteers like local couple Julie and Kent, who say baking cakes is about more than ingredients, it’s about bringing joy and showing kids they matter.

To mark the milestone, a fundraiser will be held at the One Eleven Bar on Wednesday, April 22 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Organizers say the event will celebrate the impact of the program while encouraging more people to get involved.

Volunteers, especially those who enjoy baking, are always needed to help continue the mission.

For many involved, the reward is simple: creating a moment of happiness for a child who needs it most.
