Big Gay BBQ Returns to Arenas Road This Weekend with Free Two-Day Block Party

The Big Gay BBQ is back this weekend, taking over Arenas Road early this year in Palm Springs. The beloved free community event runs this Saturday and Sunday, April 25th and 26th, with gates opening at 11 a.m. both days. 

Organizers say they moved the event from its traditional June dates to April this year in order to trade the summer heat for cooler patio weather.

Food vendors will be on-site both days with a wide range of options available for purchase. Barbeque staples like brisket, baby back ribs, pulled pork, and hot links will be served alongside Filipino street food from several vendors, ube smash burgers, Nashville hot chicken, and artisanal gelato made right here in Palm Springs. Outdoor beverage lounges will also be set up along Arenas Road.

Live entertainment runs throughout both days. Sunday's event wraps at 7 p.m., giving the weekend a slightly earlier close than Saturday's 10 p.m. finish.
