Lucie Awards Bring Inland Empire High School Theatre to McCallum Stage

The Lucie Awards are coming to the McCallum Theatre for the first time, with the ceremony scheduled for May 31st.

Founded by Lucie Arnaz and producer David Green, the awards were created to honor teachers and students in the performing arts at public and private high schools across the Inland Empire, covering both Riverside and San Bernardino counties. This year, 22 high schools will compete for honors, including Best Musical, Best Actor, and Best Actress.

The McCallum stage will feature performances from the top five musicals selected in the competition, along with showcases from the eight leading actors and actresses named as finalists. From that group, two students will be chosen to advance to the Jimmy Awards in New York City, the national high school musical theatre competition.

McCallum Theatre is hosting the event for the first time as part of its membership in the Broadway League, which supports musical theatre education across the country.

Tickets are available at mccallumtheatre.org/luciearnazawards.
