Firebirds: Post Game

Firebirds stave off elimination with a 5-4 win in game two over the Condors

The Coachella Valley Firebirds force a winner-take-all game three on Sunday at Acrisure Arena in the final game of the series.

No one said it would be easy. Entering Saturday night's game down one game to none, the Firebirds needed to have a short memory and erase the taste in their mouths from Thursday night in game one. They did just that.

Eduard Sale got the party started with his first of the playoffs on the power play, followed by a second power play goal from Jagger Firkus. The same power play went 0/7 on Thursday night. An adjustment was made. The same could be said for the Firebirds defense, who only allowed seven shots through two periods.

The Firebirds also had goals from Mitchell Stephens and the two from the first star of the game, Oscar Fisker Molgaard.

Game three is Sunday night at 5 p.m. at Acrisure Arena.
