3.4 Magnitude Earthquake Near Redlands This Morning
A 3.4 magnitude earthquake struck near Redlands Monday morning, rattling parts of the Inland Empire and the wider Southern California region.
The U.S. Geological Survey detected the quake at 7:47 a.m., centered about 4 miles south-southwest of Redlands in southwest San Bernardino County, roughly 50 miles west-northwest of Indio. The quake was shallow, hitting at a depth of just under 2 miles, which can make even smaller tremors more noticeable at the surface.
No damage or injuries have been reported at this time.
