CHP Launches 24-Hour Speeding Crackdown Across Coachella Valley and California
Drivers across the Coachella Valley and throughout the state should expect a heavy police presence on the roads this week. The California Highway Patrol is launching a 24-hour maximum enforcement period beginning Tuesday morning, with a specific focus on curbing speeding.
The crackdown comes as part of a statewide effort to reduce unsafe speeds, which remain one of the leading causes of deadly crashes in California. Last year alone, hundreds of people were killed in collisions where speed was a primary factor.
Officers will be patrolling day and night to ensure motorists are adhering to speed limits. CHP officials are urging all drivers to slow down, stay alert, and prioritize safety to prevent further tragedies on the road.
