Students to Compete in Coachella Valley Math Field Day

More than 200 students from across the Coachella Valley are set to showcase their math skills this weekend at the 29th annual Math Field Day.

The event will take place Saturday at John Glenn Middle School and is hosted by the Rotary Club of Indio. It brings together middle school students from throughout the region for a day focused on both competition and collaboration.

Participants will take part in a variety of challenges, including problem-solving exercises, arithmetic competitions, and hands-on team activities designed to test their skills in a fun and engaging way.

Organizers say the goal is not only to encourage academic excellence but also to inspire students to develop a deeper interest in math and other STEM-related fields. By combining learning with teamwork and friendly competition, the event aims to spark curiosity and build confidence among the next generation of thinkers.
