Desert Community Celebrates Israel Independence Day With Ambulance Donation Ceremony

The Jewish Federation of the Desert hosted a celebration honoring Israel’s 78th Independence Day, bringing together community members for a ceremony centered on giving and connection.

A key highlight of the event was the donation of a new ambulance provided by local resident Brian Isaacs, dedicated in honor of his daughters and granddaughters. The ambulance will be sent to Israel to assist emergency response efforts and provide medical support in communities there.

The celebration featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony, Israeli food and cultural treats, and opportunities for attendees to take photos with the newly donated vehicle.

Organizers emphasized the importance of community-driven philanthropy, noting how individual contributions can have broader international impact.

The event also included live entertainment, with a performance by comedian and author Benji Lovitt, adding a celebratory atmosphere to the occasion.

Leaders with the federation said the gathering reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen cultural ties and encourage education, engagement, and support between local communities and Israel.
