Boys & Girls Club of Cathedral City to Host Free Community Wellness Fair May 2

The Boys & Girls Club of Cathedral City (BGCCC) is opening its doors to the public this Saturday, May 2, 2026, for a free Resource and Wellness Fair. Designed for local residents seeking better access to personal and family healthcare information, the event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the club’s headquarters on Whispering Palms Trail.

In a collaborative effort to improve community well-being, health professionals from the Desert Care Network (DCN) and the Desert Regional Graduate Medical Education Program will lead accessible discussions on vital health topics. The fair aims to bridge the gap between residents and professional medical resources in a welcoming, familiar environment.

“Part of our mission is to help kids and families develop healthy lifestyles to set them up for future success,” said BGCCC CEO Scott Robinson. “We are grateful and excited to be partnering with Desert Care Network to increase accessibility to these important topics in our Club’s welcoming environment right in the heart of Cathedral City.”

Attendees will have access to complimentary health checks performed by physicians. Additionally, Desert Care Network staff will be available on-site to help families navigate the healthcare system by assisting with medical appointments with DCN providers. To ensure a community-focused atmosphere, light refreshments will be provided throughout the afternoon.

The Boys & Girls Club of Cathedral City has been a staple of the western Coachella Valley for 45 years, currently serving over 650 members annually. Partnering with the Desert Care Network—which includes Desert Regional Medical Center, JFK Memorial Hospital, and Hi-Desert Medical Center—underscores a shared commitment to providing coordinated, compassionate care to the desert’s permanent residents and visitors alike.

The event is located at 32141 Whispering Palms Trail, Cathedral City, 92234. While registration is optional, interested residents can sign up in advance at DesertCareNetwork.com/events.
