Chilling Evidence Revealed in Preliminary Hearing for Salton City Man Accused of Murdering Hemet Teen
Testimony continued today in El Centro for the preliminary hearing of 51-year-old Abraham Feinbloom, the Salton City man accused of murdering 17-year-old Hemet teenager T'Neya Tovar. The hearing is a critical step in the legal process to determine if there is enough evidence for the case to proceed to a full trial.
During the second day of the hearing, the prosecution called upon FBI agents and investigators who revealed new findings tied to Tovar’s disappearance in December 2025. According to testimony, Tovar’s last known location was Feinbloom’s residence. A close friend, Angel Martinez, admitted to dropping Tovar off at the home on December 1st after she claimed she was there to pick up Christmas gifts from Feinbloom.
The most chilling evidence presented involved a MacBook seized from Feinbloom's home. Agents testified that between December 1st and December 3rd, several internet searches were made on the device, including "eye gouging," "cannot remove contact from phone," and "missing person." On December 10th, a search was recorded asking, "can I take one way flight to Thailand No extradition USA."
Forensic investigators also confirmed finding positive traces of blood in Feinbloom’s vehicle and residence during searches conducted in February. Despite this, recorded interviews showed Feinbloom denied even recognizing a photo of the teenager when questioned by the Imperial County Sheriff's Office.
Evidence suggests Feinbloom may have been preparing to flee the country. When he was arrested in February, authorities found his passport and Thai currency on his person. Records also show he had already purchased flight tickets from LAX to Hong Kong scheduled for February 17th.
The preliminary hearing is expected to wrap up tomorrow at the Imperial County Superior Courthouse, at which point a judge will rule on whether the trial against Feinbloom will move forward.
