Firebirds vs. Reign: Round Two of Calder Cup Playoffs Kicks Off Tonight

Round Two of the Calder Cup playoffs officially begins tonight as the Coachella Valley Firebirds take on the Ontario Reign. Game one of the best-of-five series is an away game, but fans across the Coachella Valley have plenty of options to catch the action together.

Official watch parties and pop-up events are scheduled for tonight at several local favorites, including Spotlight 29 Casino, Big Rock Pub, Burgers and Beer, Rocks Firehouse Grill, and the Indio Taphouse. The puck drops at 7:00 p.m., and the NBC Palm Springs team will be providing live coverage from the festivities tonight and again on Friday.

The Firebirds organization and players emphasize that fan energy is a major factor in their success. After a strong showing against Bakersfield in the first round, the team is looking to carry that momentum against the Reign, who were the number one seed in the Pacific.

Fans can support the team in person when the series returns to home ice next Tuesday, May 5th. Entry-point tickets are available for $27, with further savings of $23 available for those who purchase directly at the box office. If the series continues, the team will also play at home on Thursday.
