Leap, Denim, and Wishes: Wednesday Is Packed With Holidays and We've Got the Quiz to Prove It

Wednesday, April 29th is pulling up with a loaded holiday calendar, and weatherman Jerry Steffen is breaking it all down with a little help from the morning crew. From parkour to denim to wishes that come true, here's your roundup of today's most fun, meaningful, and downright surprising observances.

Today is National We Jump the World Day, a global celebration of parkour that encourages everyone to get out there, run, leap, and vault over anything they can find, then share the proof online. Whether you're a seasoned traceur or just feeling brave on your lunch break, today is your invitation to fly.

Slip on your favorite pair of jeans today, because it's National Denim Day. While the name might sound like a celebration of rivets and raw fabric, the day carries a powerful message of solidarity and support for sexual abuse survivors. Your Levi's, Wranglers, or whatever denim you love are more than just clothes today.

Perhaps the most heartwarming holiday on today's calendar is World Wish Day, dedicated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The organization has granted over 500,000 wishes to children facing critical illnesses, and it all started on this very date in 1980, when their very first wish was granted. That milestone, and the word "wish" itself, set the stage for today's pop quiz.

Jerry brought two great "wish" themed questions to the desk this morning, and the crew had some thoughts. Now it's your turn! Watch the video above to see how everyone did, then see if you can beat them to the answer.

1) "When You Wish Upon a Star" is considered the signature song of the Walt Disney Company and has been widely featured in their production logos. The beloved tune was composed in 1938 for a 1940 Disney animated film. Which one was it?

A) Cinderella

B) Fantasia

C) Pinocchio

2) Wishbone is an American salad dressing brand founded in 1945 by World War II soldier Philip Salome and his mother Lena. But what was the inspiration behind the name "Wishbone"?

A) A football formation

B) A local restaurant

C) Phillip's nickname

Think you know the answers? Watch the video to find out if you're right, and see how Jerry and the crew stacked up!
