Testimony Continues in Preliminary Hearing for Man Accused in T'neya Tovar's Death

Testimony is continuing in a critical preliminary hearing for 51-year-old Abraham Feinbloom, who is accused in the death of 17-year-old T'neya Tovar.

Proceedings resumed today in Imperial County, where Judge Poli Flores is overseeing the case.

During testimony, a lead agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation confirmed that Tovar’s last known location was at Feinbloom’s home. According to the agent, she was dropped off there by a friend on Dec. 1.

Investigators also detailed evidence collected during the search of the home, including seven cell phones, electronic equipment, and vials containing unknown substances that have been sent for testing.

Authorities say they also recovered items believed to belong to the victim, including a pink toothbrush and a sock.

The preliminary hearing is a key step in the legal process, as it will determine whether prosecutors have enough evidence to move forward to trial.

Testimony is expected to continue, with updates anticipated as the case develops.
