Free Pet Adoptions Offered for National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day

Today marks National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day, and there’s a special opportunity for animal lovers across Riverside County.

The Riverside County Department of Animal Services is waiving all adoption fees for one day only. The promotion includes spay and neuter services, vaccinations, microchipping, and even an engraved name tag for your new pet.

Participating locations include the Coachella Valley Animal Campus until 5 p.m., along with additional shelters in San Jacinto, Jurupa Valley, and Blythe.

Officials say the goal is to help more animals find permanent homes while easing immense overcrowding in local shelters.
