“Puff Kitty” Finds Forever Home in Palm Springs
A happy ending for one of the Coachella Valley’s most talked-about kittens.
“Puff Kitty,” now named Zoe, has officially found her forever home thanks to the team at the Palm Springs Animal Shelter.
The shelter opened applications for Zoe’s adoption on April 23 and was quickly flooded with interest from hopeful adopters.
Zoe, about four months old, is now fully treated, spayed, and ready for her new life. She first captured hearts after receiving care from the shelter’s veterinarian, Dr. Phil Caldwell, who treated her for a rare condition that caused air to build up under her skin.
Caldwell, who had grown especially attached to Zoe, ultimately made the decision to place her with a new family, calling the moment bittersweet but reassuring.
Her new owners say Zoe is nearly identical to their cat at home and are confident the two will quickly become close companions.
