Taste of Jalisco Returns to Cathedral City for 10th Anniversary Celebration
One of the Coachella Valley’s biggest cultural celebrations is returning this weekend as the 10th Annual Taste of Jalisco Festival takes over downtown Cathedral City.
The three-day event, running May 1st through May 3rd, celebrates Cathedral City’s longtime sister city relationship with Tequila, Jalisco, Mexico through music, food, entertainment, and family-friendly activities.
NBC Palm Springs’ Mary Strong spoke with event producer Steve Clayton and Brent Miller, owner of Luchador Brewing Company, one of the featured restaurants at the festival, for a preview of what visitors can expect this year. Festival highlights include live music performances, carnival rides, artisan vendors, authentic cuisine, tequila and mezcal tastings, food demonstrations, folklórico dance performances, and lucha libre wrestling.
Organizers say the event is designed to celebrate the culture, traditions, and community ties between Cathedral City and Tequila, Jalisco, while creating an experience that appeals to visitors of all ages. For first-time attendees, organizers say Taste of Jalisco offers something unique—a blend of culture, entertainment, and family fun in the heart of the Coachella Valley. The 10th Annual Taste of Jalisco Festival runs May 1st through May 3rd in downtown Cathedral City.
