Meet Jazzy: She Deserves a Second Chance
It's Fido Friday, and this week, community contributor Jen Agnew introduces us to Jazzy, a one-year-eight-month-old pup who has been at the Coachella Valley Animal Campus in Thousand Palms since January 22nd. Jazzy was adopted once before, then returned days later for being "too hyper." Jen isn't buying it.
"I don't see it," Jen said. "She's loving, great on leash, and amazing with everyone."
Outside the shelter, Jazzy is a different dog entirely, soaking up attention and showing off exactly who she is when the stress fades away. "This is what FIDO is really about," Jen said. "Not just a walk, but giving these dogs a real shot to be seen outside the shelter. Because who they are out here is who they really are. And sometimes that's all it takes to change their story."
And speaking of changed stories, there's some wonderful news to share. Perla, the sweet two-year-old German Shepherd featured on FIDO Friday and Pet of the Week back in April, was adopted last week after a long stay at the shelter. And Fudge has officially been adopted as well. Thank you to both of their new families.
If you're interested in adopting Jazzy, contact the Coachella Valley Animal Campus and reference ID number A-1897060.
