An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Saturday, May 2, 2026!

The Coachella Valley will see extra clouds later today with dry surface air and above-normal high temperatures in the upper-90s.

As a trough of low pressure moves through the Southwest early next week, we'll experience gusty winds and noticeably cooler temperatures.

On-shore winds will be at their strongest during the afternoon and evening hours on Sunday and Monday. You can expect some elevated dust and dirt both days.

Any rain associated with this system will be widely-scattered and light, and will remain West of the Valley.

This frontal boundary will also play a role in reducing temperatures. The Valley will see lower-90s on Sunday followed by upper-70s for both Monday and Tuesday.

The real warm-up for the Coachella Valley will begin this Friday with the return of several days of triple-digits.
