N. Gene Autry, N. Indian Canyon Reopens After Dust Storm

The City of Palm Springs says both North Gene Autry Trail and North Indian Canyon Drive at the wash have reopened following a brief closure caused by low visibility during Sunday’s dust storm.

North Gene Autry Trail reopened just before 9 a.m. Monday. North Indian Canyon Drive reopened about an hour later, according to the Palm Springs Police Department.

The roads were closed Sunday evening as strong winds and blowing dust reduced visibility for drivers.

The reopening brings welcome relief for commuters traveling through the area this morning.
