Construction Begins on New Entry Monument in Cathedral City

Construction begins today on a new entry monument along East Palm Canyon Drive in Cathedral City.

The project will continue through May 29 in the median between Date Palm Drive and Sun Gateway.

Drivers should expect lane closures in phases over the next several weeks. Officials say at least one lane will remain open at all times to help keep traffic moving.

Motorists are urged to slow down, watch for construction crews, and allow extra travel time through the area.
