An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Wednesday, May 6, 2026!

The Coachella Valley will see sunny skies this afternoon with low relative humidity, breezy winds and near-normal high temperatures in the lower-90s.

As an upper-level ridge of high pressure expands over the Southwest, temperatures will rise each day into the weekend.

You can expect clear skies along with dry surface air on Thursday and Friday when Palm Springs reaches 103° on Friday, 104° Saturday, 106° Sunday.

By the time we reach Monday, Valley high temps will be at their peak, hovering anywhere between 108° and 112°. An Extreme Heat Warning is likely.

Incidentally, Valley dew points remain in the 40s over the next several days.

The good news... Valley temps will back-off into the 90s by the next weekend.
