Fundraising Campaign Launched to Help Save Palm Valley School

A new fundraising effort is now underway to help keep Palm Valley School from potentially closing its doors.

Members of the school community have launched a public donation campaign aimed at supporting the campus in Rancho Mirage. Organizers say they hope to raise $1.5 million as part of the effort.

The campaign comes after reports that the private school is considering filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

Founded in 1952, Palm Valley School serves students from preschool through 12th grade and has been a longtime educational institution in the Coachella Valley.

NBC Palm Springs has reached out to school officials for comment regarding the fundraising campaign and the school’s future plans.
