U.S. and Iran Near Temporary Deal to End War

The U.S. and Iran may be closing in on a temporary agreement to end their conflict, according to a source familiar with the ongoing negotiations.
Negotiators are discussing a plan that would formally declare an end to the war and open a 30-day window to work through remaining sticking points. A memorandum outlining the proposal reportedly includes a long-term pause on uranium enrichment and would require Iran to ship its stockpile of highly enriched uranium out of the country.
President Donald Trump says his top priority is reopening the Strait of Hormuz and reaching a diplomatic resolution to the conflict.
The White House is staying cautious, though, after previous rounds of negotiations fell apart at the last minute.
