An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Thursday, May 7, 2026!

The Coachella Valley will experience triple-digit weather each afternoon through early next week.

As an upper-level ridge of high pressure strengthens and expands over the Southwest, Valley midday temps will slowly heat-up from the lower-100s today to around 110° on Monday when an Extreme Heat Warning will likely be posted.

During the peak-of-the-heat, middle-of-the-day dew points will reside in the lower-30s.

Valley highs will back-off into the upper-90s beginning Thursday of next week.
