16-Day Streak of Rising Average Riverside County Gas Prices Ends

RIVERSIDE (CNS) - The 16-day streak of increases that boosted the
average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County to
its highest amount since Oct. 2, 2023, ended today with a decrease of three-
tenths of a cent to $6.095.
  

The average price rose 34.1 cents during the streak, including 1.1
cents Thursday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information
Service. The streak of increases followed a run of 12 decreases in 13 days
totaling 12.6 cents.
  

The average price is 11.6 cents more than one week ago, 21.2 cents
higher than one month ago and $1.479 above what it was one year ago.  It has
risen $1.544 since the joint U.S./Israel attack on Iran Feb. 28, moving within
27.8 cents of the record $6.435 set on Oct. 5, 2022.
  

The 15-day streak of increases that boosted the national average price
to its highest amount since July 16, 2022, ended with a decrease of 1.2
cents to $4.546.
  

The average price rose 54.8 cents during the streak, including 2.2
cents Thursday. It is 15.4 cents more than one week ago, 38.2 cents higher than
one month ago and $1.394 above what it was one year ago.
  

The average price has risen $1.564 since the attack on Iran, moving
within 47 cents of the record $5.016 set June 14, 2022.
