An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Friday, May 8, 2026!

High temperatures in the Coachella Valley will heat-up each afternoon from around 104° today to 110° on Monday. An Extreme Heat Watch has been posted for the Valley on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. This 'Watch' will eventually be elevated to 'Warning' status very soon.

Those Valley midday temps will eventually back-off into the -upper-90s in about a week.

On-shore winds will become gusty during the afternoon/evening hours today and tomorrow, especially around the San Gorgonio Pass, Desert Hot Springs and those wind-prone areas of the Coachella Valley.
