Indio Opens the Doors to Its Brand-New City Hall

Indio is two weeks away from officially opening its new City Hall, and the community is invited to come see it for themselves.

The city is hosting a grand opening celebration for the new Civic Center Campus on Wednesday, May 20, from 2 to 4 p.m. at 100 Civic Center Drive. The event kicks off with an official ceremony, followed by guided tours and light refreshments.

The new three-story City Hall spans nearly 38,000 square feet and sits in the heart of Indio's downtown district, near the College of the Desert. A separate one-story library, just under 8,000 square feet, also sits on the campus. The grounds include a public plaza, desert landscaping, a greenbelt, and solar-covered parking designed to help cut the city's energy use.

The city called the campus a reflection of its "commitment to creating welcoming spaces that bring people together and support our growing community."
