An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Sunday, May 10, 2026: Excessive Heat!

An Extreme Heat Warning has been posted through Monday for the Coachella Valley where high temperatures will exceed 107° both afternoons. A Heat Advisory has also been issued for the Inland Empire both days.

As the upper-level high's influence over the Southwest weakens, Valley highs will slip to the lower-100s on Tuesday, upper-90s by Wednesday.

The Valley will be under totally clear skies through Monday, followed by a few mountain clouds Tuesday, thin high clouds Wednesday.

Middle-of-the-day Valley dew points will reside in the 30s today and tomorrow while afternoon relative humidity will bottom-out to around 10%.
