An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Monday, May 11, 2026!

As an upper-level ridge of high pressure is centered over the Southwest, today's peak temperatures in the Coachella Valley will range anywhere between 109° and 113° this afternoon. An Extreme Heat Warning continues for the Valley through 8p this evening.

This ridge will weaken slightly on Tuesday when Valley temps back-off to around 104° under plenty of sunshine.

Next, a weak trough of low pressure will visit the Southwest on Wednesday which will play a role of pulling Valley temperatures down to the upper-90s while kicking-up on-shore winds during the afternoon/evening hours.

Then, Valley midday highs will hover around the upper-90s/lower-100s each day through Saturday.
