Missing Palm Springs Man Found Safe, Silver Alert Canceled

UPDATE 5/12 9 pm: Esquivel has been found, Silver Alert deactivated

The man at the center of a Palm Springs Silver Alert has been found safe, according to the California Highway Patrol, which canceled the alert Monday afternoon.

Alberto Esquivel, 67, had last been seen around 6:30 Sunday evening near South Camino Real and East Laverne Way. Authorities believed he was traveling on foot. The CHP announced at 5:53 p.m. Monday that Esquivel had been located, though details about when or where he was found have not been released.
