Palm Springs Friends of Philharmonic Opens Scholarship and Summer Music Camp Applications
The Palm Springs Friends of Philharmonic is opening applications for its annual summer music camp and college scholarship programs, aimed at supporting young musicians throughout the Coachella Valley.
The organization offers four-year renewable college scholarships worth up to $5,000 per year for students pursuing music-related studies at accredited colleges or universities worldwide. Students must maintain at least a 2.8 GPA to remain eligible.
In addition, summer music scholarships are available for programs such as the Idyllwild Summer Music Program and other music-focused camps. Organizers say there is no age limit for summer scholarships, as long as applicants demonstrate a strong interest in music education.
Officials say the program is designed to encourage and support talented young musicians as they pursue both academic and performance opportunities.
Applications for the upcoming school year are open now and will close on May 31.
