Mary Pickford Theatre Turns 25 with a Weekend of $0.25 Movies

The Mary Pickford Theatre in Cathedral City is marking its 25th anniversary with a three-day celebration this May, and tickets will cost just a quarter.

The event, called "Where Were You in 2001?", runs May 15 through 17 and brings back films from the theater's opening year, including Shrek, Moulin Rouge!, The Princess Diaries, and Monsters, Inc. Each film screens once per day, with doors opening at 8:30 a.m. and the first showings starting as early as 9 a.m. Early arrivals can also grab a popcorn and drink combo for $2.50.

The theater, now operating as D'Place Entertainment, will hold a re-dedication ceremony on Saturday, May 16 at 10:30 a.m. in the lobby.

Full details are available at DPlaceEntertainment.com.
